I was kind of struggling on adjusting the scene. I tried to draw it in Photoshop earlier this week but it does not work well. I redraw it on an A3 paper, I expand the scene, replace the ladder, curve the line on the scene, shorten the desk, and add tentacle on the scene. Later this week I do some experience about the colors this week. Feedback: 1.The desk is too short for Aughra this time. Also, the style of the desk does not match the dark crystal environment. It is better to adjust it. 2.I need to further develop the prop now. 3.It is better to have a chair beside the desk. 4.reference advice: Armand Baltazar Screenshot to estimate the height of Aughra.

Feedback: 1.The stair on the foreground can be curved stair or even a ladder to show more detail on the foreground. 2.I can use the photobashing techique to add details on the crystal lantern. 3. Beyond the stairs, she also suggests that the line could be more curved rather than straight lines. There can have a kind of curved rhythm on the foreground(shown above with blue curve).  4. Massive room 

After the third conjunction, Jen and kira help Aughra to rebuild the Observatory. Aughra found foreigners from the other planet that is coming to the Thra. The observatory was destroyed by the Skeksis once so the lab will be quite different than it used to be. After the urkesis left the planet, The ecosystem have been changed, Aughra found a way to use crystals as a power resource to benefit her magic. So there are some new equipment that is supported by the magic power. The clock: It is a complicated solar system that Thra is in. Aughra invited a machine to reveal and record the time on the planet. Light/ Lantern: The crystal also been used for producing light. They are used as an important component for the light/lamp and lantern in the lab. Aughra also have knowledge of geology on the planet. There are chart or map she have drawn in the room. I am struggling about what kind of scene that i can create that can contain the relative information of dark crystal. Considering what i have been done and the time i got to finish this project, i decide to focus on the observatory instead. I was mainly considering landscape like mountain area, desert or forest, which i have always want to illustrate. However, i do not come up with a clear concept that can correspond to the world setting. And i figure there are not much time for me to do more exploration not only for the world concept of dark but for the skills of drawing landscape. Description of the observatory: The Observatory was created by the UrSkek TekTih to allow Aughra to study the heavens and prepare for the Great Conjunction. It is dominated by a massive metal apparatus consisting of rotating, spinning objects simulating the tri-solar system of Thra. Scattered throughout Aughra's Observatory are benches and tables filled with alchemical equipment, astrolabes and other scientific devices.
